The types of air filter in the car neighborhood are cylindrical, Flat, Curved, etc. Trucks, trucks, etc. generally use cylindrical filter, and flat filter are used for family cars and SUVs. The ensuing automotive industry is paying more and more attention to the regulations on lightweight, noise reduction, low pollution, low VOC, environmental protection, energy saving and environmental protection, and these regulations are also special regulations. Use of hot melt adhesives in automotive filter: Environmental protection, non-toxic, quick-drying, low odor, and low VOC bonding are specified, so what are the actual regulations for hot melt adhesives for automotive filter? In fact, the bonding of automotive air filter includes origami, intermediate glue fixing, seams of filter membranes, bonding of filter frames, etc.

1. Filter paper pleats to manufacture adhesives
In the whole production process, the entire bundle of filter membranes is first placed on a folding machine, which expands and contracts at a speed of about 50 to 80 meters per minute. The total width of the paper pleats depends on the specification and model of the filter product; after stretching and forming, it quickly enters the whole process of hot melt adhesive spraying. Hot melt sprays the fixed glue line onto the stretchable filter membrane at all normal rates. Sometimes spray paint 4 or many lines of superglue and stick the filter on one or both sides. Then quickly dry the adhesive to fix the stretched filter membrane and prevent it from bouncing; then cut it into specific specifications according to the specifications of the filter. After the superglue is released, the filter will usually be tested for quality. The filter must be placed in a constant temperature oven and placed vertically at 90 degrees for 24 hours to observe the change. Specifies that no offset or deformation was found.
2. Hot melt adhesive for filter glue
For family car, SUV and other filter, in order to lift the filter, a unique glue line connection is made on the filter element to keep it firm. Good strength is required to maintain filter strength and coordination is required to avoid brittle fracture at lower temperatures.
3. Filter joint making adhesive
It refers to the bonding of the connector at the end of the filter membrane and the joints on both sides of the filter membrane. General filter factories use EVA hot melt adhesive, PO hot melt adhesive and PA hot melt adhesive. EVA or PO hot-melt adhesives are generally used for air filter connections, while PA or polyurethane hot-melt adhesives are mostly used for oil filter connections.
4. Hot melt adhesive for air conditioner grille - filter frame bonding
During the entire production process, hot melt adhesive is suitable for bonding and sealing the filter membrane and filter frame, and hot melt adhesive sticks can be used for manual injection and filling, which are mostly found in small factories. According to the different specifications of the filter in the processing factory, some filter manufacturers prefer to use a hot melt machine with a small scraper to apply adhesive to the inside of the filter frame, and then quickly paste the filter membrane. It is generally found in these processing plants with large output.
For these processing techniques, EVA or PO hot melt adhesives are often used, and their properties should include temperature resistance and odorlessness, and most of them are milky white. Ordinary air conditioner filter must have a minimum heat resistance of 65°C, Some air filters need to withstand temperatures higher than 110°C, which all depend on the actual requirements of the filter manufacturer.
For some kind of filter, it is very necessary to maintain a flexible outer frame for practical effect, because some air conditioner filter can bend easily.
